Dan Hand

Dan Hand, manager for Darenots, Diemonds & Havelin, got his start in the industry in 2007 as an intern for independent record label Underground Operations while attending Durham Colleges Music Business Management program. Upon graduation, UO promptly hired Dan for both the label and management (working with artists such as Protest The Hero & Stereos). When Universal Music Canada decided to expand it’s A&R roster, they hired Dan as an A&R rep. Working A&R with such artists as Protest The Hero, Arkells, Silverstein, & more, he balanced his time between UMC A&R and artist management (roster including Abandon All Ships & Rob Moir). In February 2013, he left UMC to focus on artist management & explore other avenues of the music business.
