Meet the experts and hear their stories about life on the road and how to survive and stay healthy! From tour managers to nutritionists, ask them anything.
2:00 – 2:40 PM Mental Health and Addictions – Panel & Discussion
Everyone has a story or memory of an idol of theirs they have lost to suicide or drugs, a friend that has been struggling with addiction, or even their own quiet personal struggle with an unspeakable sadness or anxiety. Often times as musicians (or industry!) we feel that there is no way around the dark cloud of this issue. You do not have to suffer to do what you love to do. Being creatives, we reach deep down into some hard emotions, and the stigma of addressing these topics is still surprisingly present. This panel cracks that topic open in a round table interactive discussion! Let’s start talking. Lead by seasoned musicians, promoters, and even physiologists, this is a panel you wont want to miss.
3:00 – 3:40 PM Workshop: The art of the vulnerability, performance & the after glow! With Kevin Pauls (Performance Coach)
We will explore ways to deal with anxiety, nerves, the “jitters” – all those emotions that block our performance and our creativity. We will also talk about what happens when the lights go out – how to deal with the emotional let down of the empty hotel room.
Learn the benefits of being vulnerable and how it can connect you to the audience.
“If performing is easy…you are no doing it right!”
